It has been just over 20 days since the closing bell rang out and so much has been done already.
As you all know part one of the tree replacement project is done, water has been drained from the hotel and the boilers have been shut down and opened for yearly inspection.
Pool filter sand has been changed and the front porch is undergoing its annual fall maintenance of finding and repairing any bad spots. Bracing has been installed in the Art Gallery to support the ceiling when the snow starts to fall, as everyone on the island hopes it does this winter.
Many of you will also be excited to hear that they have done major maintenance around the staircase leading to the Tea Garden. So, not only will you have a new view coming up the boulevard to the hotel but you will also have a better view of the stairs from the Tea Garden. Our Somewhere In Time fans are sure to be happy about the view returning to be similar to what it was in the movie.
Be sure to check back for winter updates. I will pass them on as we get them. Have a Grand winter!

I am so glad that you trimmed the trees going to the tea garden! Can’t wait to return next summer.
