Any of you who watched The Price is Right when Percy Smith won a trip to  Grand Hotel saw that he was quite the character.  I am here to tell you he is just as much fun in person.   Percy and his wife Marilyn won a 6 night stay with us here on Mackinac and they are making friends everywhere they go.

This was not Percy’s first win on The Price is Right.  Ten years and nine days before he won the trip to Grand Hotel, Percy was on the show and won “A New Car!”  The show has a policy that after you win a major prize you cannot be a contestant again for ten years.  Percy said the day that ten year mark came he told Marilyn it was time to get back The Price is Right.  We could not be happier that he did!

Marilyn had her own little group of fans following her around during their stay.  She plays in the Nickelodeon show “Victorious” as Andre’s Grandmother and has a signature look that these girls just love.   The girls were so excited that they were at Grand Hotel with Marilyn (Harris) and followed her around for a while before working up the courage to ask for an autograph.  Of course, Marilyn was more than happy to oblige.
